FreeCAD Expert

micro1 is seeking skilled FreeCAD Experts to join a project supporting clients in the mechanical engineering, aerospace, and industrial design sectors. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to train next-generation AI systems by creating high-quality, real-world input that shapes how models learn and reason.

Key responsibilities

• Author objective, precise, and non-guessable question-and-answer sets based on multi-part CAD assemblies provided in native FreeCAD format.
• Analyze complex mechanical designs, focusing on geometry, assembly relations, and engineering function to craft technical questions.
• Ensure each question has an exact, verifiable answer that requires the application of domain expertise.
• Collaborate asynchronously to clarify requirements, review feedback, and iterate on deliverables.
• Document insights or ambiguities encountered during the authoring process to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial design with strong foundational CAD knowledge.
• Significant experience working with multi-part assemblies and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or comparable CAD platforms.
• Proficiency in communicating complex technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing objective, assessment-ready content.
