Founding Product Engineer

Clera is a fast-growing European AI communication startup developing an AI phone assistant used by thousands of SMEs. We are seeking a founding-level Product Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of features, working at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and customer insight.

Key responsibilities

• Own features from initial hypothesis through rapid experimentation to production deployment.
• Lead product discovery by designing and running experiments to validate ideas before full-scale development.
• Maintain direct contact with customers and the sales team to identify and prioritize real-world pain points.
• Design and implement analytics to support data-driven product decisions and measure success.
• Build across the full stack, contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring long-term scalability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Product Engineering, delivering end-to-end software features.
• Strong full-stack proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React.
• Native-level German proficiency to support our core product, alongside fluent English.
• Experience integrating software with external systems like CRMs, databases, and calendar tools.
• Deep product mindset with the ability to translate customer feedback into actionable improvements.
• Comfort working in an async-heavy environment with overlap in the CET timezone.
