Forward Deployed - Software Engineer (m/f/n)

Shimi is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Software Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a US-based enterprise project. In this role, you will act as a primary builder, embedding with clients to transform ambiguous business challenges into functional, high-impact software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to translate shifting requirements into clear technical directions and working software.
• Execute full-stack development, including building applications, workflows, and interfaces from front end to back end.
• Utilize agentic development frameworks and AI coding assistants to prototype and ship features at high speed.
• Integrate MCP servers and LLM-powered features to connect client data and tools into AI-driven workflows.
• Mentor and coach a second engineer on your pod while maintaining high standards for code quality and architecture.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Fluency in English (C1 level) to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver results in environments with ambiguous or rapidly changing requirements.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and building LLM-integrated applications.
• Strong technical judgment regarding architecture and build-vs-buy decisions.
