Summary: The Firewall Specialist is responsible for managing firewall operations and VPN connections, ensuring secure network access in regulated environments while maintaining effective communication with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage firewalls with a specific focus on VPN connections, including setup, modification, and deletion.

• Coordinate with clients and counterparts on the customer side to ensure clear communication and project alignment.

• Utilize solid networking knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot firewall issues.

• Implement automation where applicable to enhance firewall management efficiency.

• Operate effectively in regulated environments, adhering to necessary compliance standards.

• Communicate fluently in both German and English with stakeholders.

Must Haves:

• Experience in firewall administration.

• Strong knowledge of VPN connections - deep expertise across all major protocols (IPSec, SSL, Wireguard, OpenVPN, AnyConnect) on Fortinet and Check Point, plus recent SD-WAN/firewall security concept work.

• Solid networking and firewall expertise.

• Fluency in German and English.

• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., banking IT, 50Hertz).

Nice to Haves:

• Skills in automation.
