Finance Software/AI Engineer

Ceres Life Insurance is a fast-growing, technology-driven annuity carrier startup focused on redefining retirement security. We are seeking a Finance Software / AI Engineer to design and develop innovative software solutions and AI-powered applications that modernize our financial, actuarial, and insurance platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications, APIs, and integrations supporting Finance, Accounting, and Actuarial functions.
• Develop and deploy AI-powered solutions, including conversational assistants, document intelligence, and workflow automation tools.
• Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to solve complex business challenges.
• Partner with Data Engineering teams to support data pipelines, reporting solutions, and predictive analytics initiatives.
• Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all software and AI initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, or Machine Learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building enterprise-grade cloud-based solutions.
• Proven experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and modern AI application development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of financial reporting, accounting workflows, or insurance operations is highly desirable.
