Finance & Accounting Expert

Jobgether is seeking a highly experienced Finance & Accounting Expert to join their team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will leverage your professional expertise to design complex, realistic financial benchmark tasks that challenge and evaluate the skills of other finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi-step finance and accounting tasks covering FP&A, financial reporting, audit procedures, and account reconciliations.
• Develop clear, objective grading rubrics and instructions that allow for consistent evaluation of submissions.
• Create challenging scenarios that require professional judgment, sound financial reasoning, and the interpretation of complex source materials.
• Prepare supporting documentation, including spreadsheets, financial statements, and policy documents to accompany tasks.
• Review and refine tasks to ensure clarity, accuracy, and reliability, identifying any potential ambiguities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, or accounting with direct responsibility for the work.
• Proven experience in developing or applying structured review standards, such as audit programs, checklists, or grading rubrics.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to synthesize information across multiple financial data sources.
• Excellent analytical thinking and the ability to translate professional judgment into clear, objective evaluation criteria.
• Strong written English skills for producing precise instructions and well-structured documentation.
