FDE Subject Matter Expert (Part-time)

We are currently seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) Subject Matter Expert to join our team of senior authors and help shape the future of our advanced technical curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end projects for students, including defining scope, learning goals, and technical infrastructure.
• Develop clear submission guidelines and assessment rubrics to ensure consistent and fair evaluation.
• Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers to refine course content, pacing, and educational engagement.
• Research and evaluate modern technical solutions to ensure the curriculum remains relevant to industry standards.
• Support sales and marketing teams by providing technical insights into course capabilities and graduate skills.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional engineering experience, currently operating at a Senior, Lead, or Staff level.
• Proven track record of owning end-to-end deployments in real client or enterprise environments.
• Practical expertise in cloud infrastructure, containerization, databases, and version control systems.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical workflows into structured, assessable educational tasks.
• Excellent written communication skills in English for creating clear instructional materials.
• Experience in mentoring, teaching, or conducting technical code reviews.
