Expert Data Engineer

Ciklum is a global custom product engineering company that supports multinational organizations and scaling startups in solving their most complex business challenges. We are currently looking for an Expert Data Engineer to join our cross-functional team and help engineer the digital experiences of tomorrow.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Power BI solutions, including complex dashboards and reports that provide actionable business insights.
• Manage and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, including data ingestion, batch processing, and real-time workflows using Azure Synapse.
• Perform deep performance tuning of SQL and DAX queries to ensure efficient data model design and high-speed reporting.
• Maintain and optimize data storage solutions in Azure Data Lake Storage, applying advanced techniques like partitioning and compression.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform robustness, maintainability, and overall data quality.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in developing BI solutions with Power BI, including strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query.
• Solid expertise in SQL and experience building, managing, and optimizing complex ETL pipelines.
• Proven hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, specifically Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage and Parquet file optimization techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality software in large-scale distributed systems.
