Excel Specialist

micro1 is seeking experienced Excel Specialists to contribute to an initiative focused on enhancing the proficiency of Large Language Models in handling complex Office Open XML files. You will leverage your professional domain expertise to train next-generation AI systems by creating realistic business scenarios and evaluating AI-generated document outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate challenging business scenarios that require expert-level proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in structured, multi-turn conversations with LLMs to test their reasoning and document-creation capabilities.
• Create and review complex .xlsx, .docx, and .pptx documents, comparing AI-generated solutions against professional standards.
• Provide detailed, side-by-side feedback to inform model improvements, focusing on accuracy, quality, and business relevance.
• Contribute domain-specific insights across various industries to ensure the training data covers diverse, real-world use cases.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in high-impact business environments using Microsoft Office tools.
• Demonstrated expertise in building complex models, reports, and presentations within sectors like finance, consulting, or tech.
• Background in analytical roles such as investment banking, FP&A, or strategy, with hands-on project experience.
• Exceptional written communication skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate clear, actionable feedback.
• Strong analytical mindset capable of evaluating nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
