E&S Package Underwriter

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new non-standard business submissions to ensure appetite acceptability, proper pricing, and overall profitability.
• Rate, quote, and bind coverage on new and renewal business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with producer partners.
• Act as a key liaison between various internal departments, including accounting, claims, and loss control.
• Approve and issue endorsement requests in strict accordance with established underwriting and service guidelines.
• Collaborate with other underwriters and departments to drive multi-line sales on individual accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Property & Casualty E&S underwriting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance rating, forms, and various coverage types.
• Proven ability to make timely, informed decisions and negotiate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with a track record of building lasting business relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve results.
