English to Malay Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Welo Global is a leading provider of multilingual AI, technology, and content solutions, currently seeking experienced Malay Linguists and Copy Editors for a long-term project with a major multinational client. This fully remote role involves working on diverse content types to ensure high-quality localization and linguistic accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, copy-edit, and perform MTPE tasks for various content types including marketing, UI, product, support, and legal materials.
• Utilize client-specific CAT tools to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
• Collaborate effectively within a global network of linguists to meet project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions to ensure the highest standards of linguistic precision and cultural relevance.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malay and an excellent command of English.
• At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a relevant degree, or 5+ years of experience without a formal degree.
• Proven track record of translating English to Malay across marketing, UI, and informational content.
• Proficiency in using CAT tools and a strong attention to detail.
• Reliability, responsiveness, and a professional approach to communication and project management.
