English to Brazilian Portuguese Linguist & Copy Editor for Product, Marketing & UI Content

Welo Global is a leading provider of multilingual AI, technology, and content solutions, currently seeking an experienced English to Brazilian Portuguese Linguist and Copy Editor. This long-term, fully remote freelance opportunity involves working on diverse content for a major multinational client.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, copy-edit, and perform MTPE tasks across various content types including marketing, UI, product, support, and legal materials.
• Maintain high quality standards while handling a consistent volume of work in a fast-paced localization environment.
• Utilize client-specific CAT tools to ensure consistency and accuracy across all project deliverables.
• Collaborate effectively with the project team, remaining responsive to feedback and revisions to meet project requirements.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese and an excellent command of English.
• At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation or Linguistics, or 5+ years of experience without a formal degree.
• Proven track record of translating English to Brazilian Portuguese across informational, marketing, and technical content.
• Demonstrated experience working with CAT tools and a strong attention to detail.
• Reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
