English to Brazilian portuguese Life Sciences Linguist

Welo Life Sciences is a specialized language and technology partner serving pharmaceutical, CRO, and medical device organizations in regulated global markets. We are currently seeking experienced English to Brazilian Portuguese linguists to support our ongoing life sciences programs through high-quality translation and localization services.

Key responsibilities

• Translate clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documents from English to Brazilian Portuguese.
• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) on machine-translated safety content to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct thorough copy edit reviews of translated content to maintain consistency, tone, and technical precision.
• Work efficiently within the client's CAT tool environment, specifically XTM or Phrase, following project-specific guidelines.
• Meet strict, non-extendable turnaround times for time-sensitive documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in translation, linguistics, or a relevant scientific field such as Medicine, Biology, or Clinical Research.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience translating life sciences documentation.
• Proven experience with clinical research, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance content.
• Native level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese and at least C1-level English.
• Demonstrated experience using XTM or Phrase CAT tools.
• High daily availability and a commitment to meeting fast, consistent turnaround times.
