Engineering Manager, SRE

Remote is a global organization dedicated to simplifying international employment and team management. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Site Reliability Engineering team, helping us build and maintain a world-class HR platform while working in a fully distributed, asynchronous environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full career lifecycle of your reports, including onboarding, performance assessment, and professional development.
• Define team goals, prioritize operational load against project delivery, and manage the on-call rotation model.
• Oversee core infrastructure components including Kubernetes, AWS, PostgreSQL, and CI/CD systems.
• Drive reliability practices such as SLOs, error budgets, and incident response protocols.
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the SRE team across the engineering organization and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading SRE, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams with a focus on people growth and performance.
• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes in production, and AWS at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment while protecting team focus.
• Excellent written communication skills, essential for success in our asynchronous, fully remote culture.
