Engineering Manager

Gcore is a global provider of infrastructure and software solutions for AI, cloud, network, and security. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our teams responsible for the CDN control plane, edge request path, analytics pipelines, and traffic management services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead four engineering teams covering the control plane, core edge, analytics, and DNS services.
• Own delivery cycles, including planning, commitments, and transparent reporting on project status.
• Set and defend technical priorities in collaboration with Product and Support teams.
• Manage incident response processes, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure preventative measures are implemented.
• Develop engineers and tech leads through regular feedback, growth planning, and effective hiring.

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience leading software engineering teams, including managing tech leads.
• Production experience with internet infrastructure such as CDN, DNS, reverse proxies, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong technical depth to reason about HTTP caching, Nginx behavior, TLS, SNI, and anycast routing.
• Proven track record of owning incident response and post-incident follow-through.
• Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones.
