Engineering Manager (ML)

Tabby is a leading fintech company reshaping how people shop, earn, and save. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Content Quality & Personalisation team, which manages a massive catalogue of over 25 million products using advanced machine learning and LLM-based pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product data pipeline, including ingestion, ML enrichment, moderation, and publication with clear quality SLAs.
• Lead the ML roadmap for catalogue intelligence, covering category trees, attribute extraction, translation quality, and item embeddings.
• Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of ML, backend, and frontend engineers, fostering a results-oriented culture.
• Build and maintain robust evaluation and labeling infrastructure to ensure model performance before production deployment.
• Collaborate with Shopping, Offers, and Monetisation teams to align catalogue quality with business growth and conversion goals.

Requirements

• 6+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years building production ML systems like NLP, LLM applications, or large-scale classification.
• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or ML Team Lead in a fast-growing e-commerce or fintech environment.
• Hands-on expertise in shipping LLM-based products, including prompt design, fine-tuning, and latency control.
• Strong backend fundamentals with the ability to review Go and Python services within a microservices architecture.
• Deep understanding of ML evaluation, including golden datasets, offline metrics, and A/B testing tied to business outcomes.
