Engineering Manager, Cloud Platform (Poland)

Flosum is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Platform team. In this role, you will combine deep hands-on technical leadership with people management to drive development velocity and architectural excellence for our cloud-native applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, performance, and scalability of our Node.js-based platform, ensuring portability across major cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Manage and mentor a team of 10–15 developers, focusing on career growth, goal setting, and removing technical blockers.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to define technical direction and ship high-quality, reliable systems.
• Balance roadmap delivery with engineering health, including code quality, system reliability, and developer experience.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in architecting distributed systems on AWS, covering compute, networking, data, and observability.
• Strong background in Node.js and a proven ability to build maintainable, scalable services.
• Experience designing platform-agnostic systems and a track record of improving deployment velocity in production environments.
• Proven ability to hire, grow, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
