3mdeb is a company specializing in open-source firmware and embedded systems solutions, including the development of Dasharo, a coreboot-based firmware distribution. We are looking for a motivated Embedded C Developer to join our team and work on low-level software that bridges the gap between hardware and system layers.
Key responsibilities
- Implementing and developing low-level firmware in C.
- Working with large open-source codebases and analyzing existing code.
- Debugging hardware–software issues using logs, GDB, and boot process analysis.
- Optimizing code for performance and security.
- Collaborating with the team on designing solutions for new hardware platforms.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in embedded systems development using C.
- Strong understanding of memory, pointers, and low-level programming concepts.
- Experience working with Linux, including CLI and debugging tools.
- Solid knowledge of Git, including branching, rebasing, and code reviews.
- Ability to read technical documentation and schematics.
- Understanding of CPU architectures such as x86, ARM, or RISC-V.
