Electrical Engineer - Overhead Line Designer

Ramboll is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Power Systems Department as an Overhead Line Designer. You will play a pivotal role in large-scale European infrastructure projects, contributing directly to the green energy transition while working within a highly specialized international team.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of engineering specifications and technical documentation for Overhead Lines up to 420 kV.
• Execution of essential technical calculations, including sag and tension, loads, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Development of comprehensive Building and Detailed Designs, including the management of building permits.
• Driving multidisciplinary coordination and managing technical reviews with clients and suppliers.
• Providing expert consulting services and technical advice to DSOs, TSOs, and renewable energy developers.

Requirements

• PhD or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Expert-level knowledge of Overhead Line design principles.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as PLS-CADD and QGIS.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to expand professional networks.
