Simmons University is seeking an Adjunct Faculty Mentor (AFM) to join our DSW program. Key responsibilities
- Provide small group oversight and guidance to approximately 15 students within the DSW program.
- Facilitate student transitions to doctoral-level work and support the evolution of their professional identity.
- Conduct periodic email check-ins and hold 2-3 meetings per term to discuss goal attainment and career development.
- Offer guidance regarding course progression and refer students to appropriate resources for specific capstone or personal support needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with students and the university via official email channels.
Requirements
- Possession of an MSW degree and a social work doctorate or a degree from a related field.
- At least one prior term of experience teaching within the DSW program.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
