Documentation Engineer

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to design and automate AI-driven software documentation for end users, developers, and system integrators. You will play a key role in shaping how technical information is structured and delivered within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to design documentation architecture and automation patterns.
• Establish documentation standards and build governance to ensure consistency across user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
• Build and refine prompt templates, style guides, and content models to enable high-quality documentation at scale.
• Measure documentation impact using analytics and user feedback to drive continuous improvements.
• Document all systems, configurations, and decision logic to ensure the team can maintain and evolve the automation system.

Requirements

• 4+ years of technical writing experience, specifically with software documentation for SaaS or cloud platforms.
• Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, AI tools, and the ability to design effective prompts.
• Strong technical comfort with APIs, event streaming, system architecture, and data models.
• Proficiency with Markdown, YAML, Git, and version-controlled workflows.
• Excellent written communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
