Director of Software Engineering (Poland)

We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead our development team, drive technical excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of our Node.js and Salesforce-integrated products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of 10 full-stack developers while fostering a culture of ownership and high velocity.
• Drive measurable improvements in developer productivity using DORA metrics, including lead time and deployment frequency.
• Architect end-to-end solutions spanning Node.js microservices, APIs, and complex Salesforce integrations.
• Own solution performance, including latency, scalability, and cost, by setting and maintaining strict service level objectives.
• Establish rigorous estimation and release discipline to ensure projects are delivered on time and at high quality.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams of 8–20 engineers.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Node.js, including performance tuning, microservices, and asynchronous patterns.
• Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integration patterns.
• Proven background as a technical architect with experience designing distributed systems and performance-critical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to compress delivery schedules and improve cycle times without compromising software quality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate scope and timelines effectively with executive stakeholders.
