Director of Software Architecture

Hometap is a collaborative and innovative fintech company dedicated to making homeownership more accessible and less stressful. We are seeking a Director of Software Architecture to lead our foundational technology decisions, shape our technical product organization, and drive architectural improvements while mentoring a talented team of architects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of architects and contribute directly to implementing organization-wide beneficial technologies.
• Lead the integration of generative AI across the company for code generation, technical design, and refactoring legacy systems.
• Mentor architects from diverse backgrounds to ensure the adoption of architectural best practices.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Management to prioritize and execute software architecture initiatives.
• Communicate architectural vision and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time in a Software Architect role and people management.
• Expert understanding of SDLC, cloud architectures, AWS, DevOps, and service observability.
• Proven ability to build a long-term technology vision and advocate for high-level software initiatives.
• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Salesforce integrations, Django/Python, and React is considered a plus.
