Director, IT Project Management (R6372)

Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company dedicated to protecting service members and civilians through intelligent systems. We are seeking a Director of IT Project Management Office (PMO) to lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of our enterprise technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision, operating model, and maturity roadmap for the enterprise IT PMO.
• Lead a portfolio of strategic programs including ERP, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, data analytics, and AI enablement.
• Establish portfolio governance, intake, prioritization, funding, and resource planning processes.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of program and project managers, fostering clear roles and professional growth.
• Partner with IT and business leadership to translate corporate priorities into executable technology roadmaps.
• Oversee large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business outcomes and financial controls.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technology program management, portfolio management, or enterprise IT leadership.
• 5+ years of experience leading PMO or program management teams in complex, high-growth organizations.
• Proven success in governing portfolios spanning enterprise applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, vendor spend, and benefits realization.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and enterprise portfolio management tools.
