Director, Corporate Communications

WEKA is a growth-stage company providing a unified software platform for AI training, inference, and agentic workloads. We are seeking a Director, Corporate Communications to lead our internal and external communications, shaping our narrative as we continue to scale as a category leader in the AI infrastructure space.

Key responsibilities

• Own the earned media agenda, including product launches, corporate announcements, and strategic campaigns.
• Build and maintain relationships with tier-one tech, business, and AI trade journalists and influencers.
• Develop and execute internal communication programs that keep our global team informed, connected, and engaged.
• Manage and scale a global Corporate Communications team and direct our PR agency partners.
• Modernize communications operations by integrating AI-assisted tools for monitoring, measurement, and rapid response.
• Oversee employer branding initiatives and manage crisis communications with clear escalation paths.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams and agencies.
• Deep background in B2B technology, specifically within AI, cloud, or data infrastructure sectors.
• A hands-on, player-coach leadership style with a proven ability to write, edit, and execute strategy.
• Demonstrated AI fluency and a practical understanding of how generative AI impacts communications workflows.
• Strong editorial judgment and a track record of building successful media relationships and executive visibility programs.
• Experience navigating change communications and corporate repositioning in fast-moving environments.
