Director, Community Marketing

CrossFit is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Community Marketing to lead marketing initiatives for our global network of over 10,000 affiliates. In this role, you will be responsible for developing communications, resources, and engagement programs that empower affiliate owners and coaches to grow their businesses while fostering a strong, connected global community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive affiliate communications, including newsletters, lifecycle journeys, and the development of new engagement channels.
• Own the strategy and execution of the Affiliate Toolkit, providing owners with the resources, templates, and data-driven insights needed to market their gyms effectively.
• Drive international community marketing efforts across key global markets by recruiting and managing local teams and ensuring localized content delivery.
• Oversee marketing, promotion, and ticket sales for major events, including the Owners & Coaches Conference and affiliate activations at the CrossFit Games.
• Analyze affiliate sentiment and engagement data to shape marketing priorities and report performance metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in community, member, or B2B marketing, preferably within a fitness or franchise-based business model.
• Proven expertise in managing email and lifecycle marketing programs, as well as utilizing CMS and analytics tools to measure success.
• Strong background in event and campaign marketing, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects effectively.
• Experience building or leading marketing strategies across international markets, including managing remote or in-market partners.
• Deep understanding of the CrossFit affiliate model, with a CrossFit Level 1 certification considered a significant advantage.
