Director AI Engineering

Simon-Kucher is seeking a Director AI Engineering to shape the strategic direction of our AI practice and lead large-scale AI transformation programs for global clients. You will combine commercial leadership with technical expertise to build scalable AI capabilities and drive innovation in enterprise AI, Agentic AI, and data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI strategies, operating models, and transformation roadmaps for global clients.
• Lead multiple AI transformation programs while ensuring delivery excellence across complex engagements.
• Drive commercial growth by shaping proposals, developing new AI offerings, and contributing to business development.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of AI engineers and consultants while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Establish engineering standards, governance frameworks, and reusable methodologies across projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, or Software Engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience delivering LLM-based solutions using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python, API development, and integration patterns.
• Proven success in business development, proposal creation, and expanding client relationships.
• Experience with the Azure ecosystem, including AI Foundry, Container Apps, and Functions.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1+) with the ability to align technical decisions with business goals.
