DevOps Engineer

Our Client

is responsible for IT projects for Polish and international clients. The number of tasks undertaken is extensive, ranging from design, building, and implementation, through preparation of functional specifications and analysis of data in source systems, to defining business requirements, providing support in testing, and developing mobile applications. The department provides IT consulting services, mainly to financial institutions from Poland and abroad.

Currently, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure (CI/CD pipeline implementation)
• working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Implementing IaaC solutions based on project requirements
• working with PowerShell, Linux Shell, testing and examining code written by others, and analyzing results
• ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Requirements:

• have strong and comprehensive knowledge of Windows or Linux systems and Microsoft SQL Server, maintaining and deploying applications on Kubernetes (Helm, Ingress),
• have expert knowledge on delivering scalable, resilient and automated builds in local and cloud environments using Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Octopus, and Ansible for high-quality data pipelines,
• have expertise and practical knowledge of the Infrastructure as Code approach (Terraform is preferred),
• possess detailed knowledge and experience in working with networking components, protocols and security (e.g., Subnets, Firewalls, Routing, DNS, HTTP, TLS/SSL, etc.),
• know patch and vulnerabilities remediation processes and frameworks,
• have expert knowledge on patching and upgrading of different platforms (security vulnerabilities like SSL and TLS shortcomings, certificates, and cipher strengths),
• know patch & vulnerability management (including automation of these processes),
• understand vulnerability scanning using tools like Veracode, Gradar, Qualys, or Similar,
• possess practical experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, Google Cloud,
• know scripts to automate day-to-day tasks,
• have experience: 2-3 years.
