DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Flix is seeking a skilled DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on integrating our cloud platform with a new train fleet. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact technical challenges, shaping architecture from the ground up and ensuring the reliability and security of our systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure connecting onboard train systems with backend services, including telemetry, alerting, and video streaming.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Terragrunt to ensure a scalable and clean codebase.
• Define and implement secure communication protocols between trains and the cloud, focusing on mTLS, certificate management, and network design.
• Collaborate with backend developers and external train manufacturers to ensure reliable service deployment and effective system monitoring.
• Lead technical proposals and participate in architecture discussions to drive innovative and robust solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and managing cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Solid understanding of systems architecture, networking, and security principles, including SSL/TLS.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and communicate complex trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on analyzing problems and implementing scalable, secure solutions.
