Developer Documentation Writer

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to design and automate AI-driven software documentation for end users, developers, and system integrators. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how technical information is delivered, ensuring clarity and scalability across our product ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to design documentation architecture and automation patterns.
• Establish documentation standards and build governance and quality gates to ensure consistency across user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
• Build and refine prompt templates, style guides, and content models to enable high-quality documentation at scale.
• Measure documentation impact using analytics and user feedback to identify gaps and inform improvements to the automation system.
• Document all systems, configurations, and decision logic to ensure the team can maintain and evolve the automation framework independently.

Requirements

• 4+ years of technical writing experience, with expertise in software documentation for SaaS or cloud platforms.
• Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, AI tool configuration, and iterative design based on output quality.
• Technical proficiency with APIs, event streaming, system architecture, and data models.
• Strong command of Markdown, YAML, Git, and version-controlled workflows.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
