Developer Documentation Writer

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to design and automate AI-driven software documentation for end users, developers, and system integrators. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how technical information is structured and delivered within our fast-paced product environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to design documentation architecture and automation patterns.
• Establish documentation standards and build governance into automation systems to ensure consistency across user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
• Develop and refine prompt templates, style guides, and content models to enable high-quality documentation at scale.
• Measure documentation impact using analytics and user feedback to drive continuous improvements to content strategy.
• Document all systems, configurations, and decision logic to ensure the team can maintain and evolve the automation framework independently.

Requirements

• 4+ years of technical writing experience, specifically within software documentation for SaaS or cloud platforms.
• Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, AI tool configuration, and iterative design based on output quality.
• Strong technical proficiency with APIs, system architecture, data models, Markdown, YAML, and Git.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, English, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
