Database Administrator (DBA)

emagine Polska is looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for the reliability, performance, security, and recoverability of database, caching, and messaging platforms that support our business-critical services and transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and SQL Server platforms.
• Oversee Kafka/MSK, Redis, DocumentDB, and Couchbase environments.
• Maintain robust backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery capabilities.
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Support schema migrations and manage the full database lifecycle.
• Maintain encryption, auditing, and access controls to ensure data security.

Requirements

• Proven experience in PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS database services, including RDS and Aurora.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka/MSK, Redis, and NoSQL technologies.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and automation tasks.
• Expertise in managing disaster recovery and high-availability environments.
