Data Team Lead

DataArt is seeking an experienced Data Team Lead to join our engineering department. In this role, you will lead a talented team of data engineers, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and scalable technical solutions while ensuring high-quality delivery across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Data Engineering team, including technical direction, task prioritization, and delivery planning.
• Translate client requirements into clear technical scopes, implementation activities, and accurate delivery estimates.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with long-term business goals.
• Review technical designs, code changes, and database implementations to maintain high engineering standards.
• Identify project risks and dependencies early, proactively resolving blockers to ensure smooth progress.

Requirements

• Strong professional background in data engineering, technical leadership, and delivery coordination.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including batch processing and serverless computing.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark, SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Experience with Git-based development, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of web scraping, web parsing, and Master Data Management concepts.
