Data Team Lead

DataArt is looking for a Data Team Lead to join our engineering department. In this role, you will collaborate with architects, product teams, and clients to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and engineering standards across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Data Engineering team, including technical direction, planning, and prioritization.
• Translate client requirements into clear technical scope, implementation activities, and delivery plans.
• Contribute to solution design by reviewing architectural decisions and ensuring they are practical and scalable.
• Coordinate team priorities, manage dependencies, and review technical solutions and code changes.
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data engineering, technical leadership, and delivery coordination.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services for batch processing and storage.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark, SQL, relational databases, and data modelling.
• Experience with Git-based development, code reviews, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of web scraping, web parsing, and Master Data Management.
