Data Steward

Baltic Amadeus is seeking an experienced Data Steward to join a significant project within the banking sector. This role is essential for driving data governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of data quality across complex financial reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support comprehensive data governance and data management activities across critical regulatory reporting processes.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve data quality issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Maintain and improve business glossaries and data definitions to ensure organizational consistency.
• Implement and monitor data quality controls while defining data lineage across relevant systems.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or similar analytical roles within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong SQL skills and advanced data analysis capabilities.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, reporting, and database structures.
• Proficiency with MS Office, JIRA, and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
