Data Scientist (Fraud)

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team and play a critical role in our fraud detection efforts by building advanced models and systems that protect our platform and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection while managing their ongoing monitoring and retraining cycles.
• Design and execute experiments to measure the impact of fraud interventions, ensuring a balance between customer experience and loss reduction.
• Build and maintain robust anomaly detection systems to identify and mitigate novel fraud vectors before they scale.
• Collaborate with fraud operations, engineering, and product teams to translate complex model outputs into effective real-world mitigations.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in statistics with a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in data science, risk analytics, or decision science within the payments or financial crime sectors.
• Proven hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with a solid understanding of experimentation, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
