Data Platform Engineer (Mid-level)

Jobgether is seeking a Mid-level Data Platform Engineer to join an experienced Data & AI team. In this role, you will help transform an established data and machine learning platform into a scalable, self-service environment that empowers engineering teams to work independently on a global shipping and fulfillment platform.

Key responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD pipelines by analyzing existing workflows and adapting them for reliable, repeatable software delivery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules to ensure consistency and reliability across services.
• Build self-service platform tooling and reusable templates to minimize manual intervention for engineering teams.
• Implement data governance standards, including access controls, retention policies, and naming conventions.
• Create practical documentation and runbooks to enable independent system operation across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Approximately two or more years of professional experience in software, data, platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Practical working knowledge of Python and SQL for professional engineering tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, Docker, and cloud computing, particularly AWS.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases, troubleshoot production issues, and make sound technical judgments.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools with the ability to critically review and validate generated code.
