Data Migration Engineer

DAC.digital is expanding its team through a strategic partnership with a major German consulting firm, focusing on large-scale data management projects for global brands in sectors like banking, insurance, and automotive. We are looking for a skilled Data Migration Engineer to join our team and contribute to high-impact cloud modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the migration of enterprise data warehouses from legacy systems to Snowflake on AWS.
• Developing and maintaining robust data transformation pipelines using dbt in production environments.
• Building efficient data extraction and ingestion processes using Python and dlt.
• Orchestrating end-to-end data workflows by creating and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs.
• Collaborating with solution architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud data platform solutions.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Snowflake in real-world implementation projects.
• Practical experience with dbt in production environments, including models, tests, and sources.
• Solid knowledge of AWS services such as S3, IAM, and EC2.
• Proficiency in Python for data extraction, automation, and tooling.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, including code reviews and deployment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and knowledge sharing.
