Data Integration Engineer (Python, SQL, Airflow)

Xelerit is seeking a skilled Data Integration Engineer to join the team at actuals, a company building financial infrastructure for high-volume digital businesses. In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of client integration pipelines, designing and building robust data connections between complex systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Mage.io, Airflow, and dbt to connect diverse client systems.
• Map complex data fields from orders, payments, and ERPs into a unified data model using advanced SQL.
• Validate high-volume datasets for accuracy and consistency, troubleshooting pipeline failures and edge cases.
• Translate ambiguous client requirements into technical pipeline designs and guide clients through the onboarding process.
• Collaborate with the product team to identify integration patterns and transform bespoke solutions into scalable connectors.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in data integration or pipeline engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Mage.io, Apache Airflow, or dbt.
• Ability to solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges with a focus on data accuracy.
• Professional fluency in English and experience working directly with technical stakeholders.
