We are looking for a Data Engineer

who will join the project aims to design and implement a semantic data layer enabling semi–self-service analytics, supported by an AI Copilot Agent acting as a natural-language interface for business users directly within Microsoft Teams. The solution will allow users to interact with organizational data conversationally, reducing dependency on traditional BI workflows while ensuring consistent business semantics and governed data access.

At the core of the architecture are:

• Snowflake Semantic Views serving as the primary semantic abstraction layer
• Snowflake Cortex powering AI-driven reasoning and data interaction capabilities
• A Microsoft Teams Copilot Agent acting as the user-facing conversational interface

The scope of the initial phase is limited to existing Data Products hosted in Snowflake and must operate within the technological constraints imposed by the current platform capabilities.

As a Data Engineer, you will:

• Configuration and launch of a base Snowflake Views and Snowflake Cortext instance
• Analysis of the current customer environment - current Data Products and reports/Power BI models to define the underlying model semantics for Snowflake View
• Collaboration with the customer to refine the semantics reflecting the customer's business reality- Defining the guidance- Training preparation- Defining new metrics- Analysis of current progress and corrections
• Analysis of selected reports and updating the data source to data from Semnatic View
• Expanding tests in dbt for newly created metrics
• Fine-tuning the model to Semantic Cortext results

You might be the perfect match if you possess the following competencies:

• 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role with a proven track record of working on assignments of mixed complexity, business areas, and implementation character.
• Professional experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Experience with Power BI
• Basic knowledge about MS Fabric
• Excellent English communication skills
• Location in Poland or EU

Nice to have:

• Experience with Semantic View
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex
