Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric (f/m/x)

Sii is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center, a specialized unit focused on advanced data processing and cloud technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, enabling seamless integration and advanced analytics for enterprise-level projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data solutions on an enterprise-level platform to ensure consistent data availability for reporting and analytical use cases.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, and efficient ETL/ELT processes.
• Create and maintain optimized data models and schemas tailored to support complex business requirements across various departments.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency while ensuring strict adherence to security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and mentor junior engineers to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Azure data engineering and building data platforms.
• Proven expertise in delivering Microsoft Fabric implementation projects.
• Advanced programming proficiency in Python and SQL, alongside experience with PySpark and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and cloud security/identity management.
