Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric (f/m/x)

Sii is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competence Center, a specialized unit focused on advanced data processing and cloud technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, enabling seamless integration and advanced analytics for enterprise-level projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust data solutions on an enterprise-level platform to ensure consistent data availability for reporting and analytical use cases.
• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure, leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, and efficient ETL/ELT processes.
• Create and maintain optimized data models and schemas tailored to support complex business requirements across various departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategies and mentor junior engineers to foster a collaborative technical environment.
• Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency while ensuring strict adherence to security best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Azure data engineering and building data platforms.
• Proven expertise in implementing Microsoft Fabric projects and advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Azure ecosystem tools including PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, networking, security, and identity management within the Azure cloud environment.
