Data Engineer (Snowflake / SQL)

Avenga is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a cross-functional team dedicated to building a modern, data-driven platform for the life sciences sector. You will play a key role in developing reliable data solutions and managing large, diverse datasets to support critical business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and robust data solutions.
• Work extensively with Snowflake and SQL to transform, integrate, and manage complex data structures.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows to ensure high performance, reliability, and data quality.
• Implement rigorous data validation and quality checks to maintain consistency and accuracy across systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and Snowflake.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
• Experience working with large datasets and designing scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in version control, CI/CD practices, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
