Data Engineer

Moniepoint is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, providing seamless payments, banking, and business management tools to millions of users. We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help us scale our data infrastructure to support our rapidly growing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of data.
• Update and optimize our data platform to ensure speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet their specific data requirements.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
• Solve complex data-related challenges across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong track record of accomplishments.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Proficiency in using version control tools like Git.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a drive to master new technologies.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
