Data Engineer

Formula5 is a Microsoft Partner specializing in Data, AI, and cloud automation, dedicated to building secure and scalable solutions for clients in regulated industries. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead the engineering side of client engagements, leveraging modern data platforms and AI-driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and platforms using Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Model data for analytics and BI, including star schemas, medallion architecture, and semantic layers.
• Ensure high standards for quality, performance, and cost through CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and rigorous testing.
• Utilize AI assistants to generate and review code, tests, and documentation while maintaining full accountability for all outputs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor other engineers to drive technical excellence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Hands-on expertise in Snowflake, plus proficiency in either Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
• Proven experience using AI tools for code delivery and a deep understanding of data warehousing principles.
• Fluent English communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset for client-facing work.
