Data Engineer in the EU

Andersen is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join a project focused on building a scalable enterprise data and analytics platform for a major financial services provider. You will play a key role in modernizing financial reporting capabilities and integrating complex data sources within a secure, cloud-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data solutions and contribute to the Enterprise Data & Analytics Mesh platform.
• Develop robust ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Lake.
• Implement medallion architecture, reusable engineering patterns, and automated data quality checks.
• Collaborate with architects and analysts to translate requirements into secure, production-ready data solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Factory.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational and analytical data.
• Solid understanding of medallion architecture, data governance, and modern data platform design.
• Proficiency in English at an Intermediate level or higher.
