Data Engineer - 6 month contract

FYUL is seeking a dedicated Data Engineer for a 6-month contract to lead the year-end financial audit data workstream for Printful and Printify. This high-autonomy role involves managing transactional data ingestion, complex transformations, and reporting to ensure audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver reconciliation deliverables for Accounting, including wallet balance checks and ERP vs. data warehouse cross-checks.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies surfaced by Accounting and external auditors with documented root causes.
• Build and extend Snowflake transformations to support audit deliverables and corrections in the revenue data warehouse.
• Extend Looker models to enable Accounting self-service for merchant-level data extraction and reconciliation.
• Collaborate directly with Accounting stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver audit-ready outputs on fixed deadlines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with a focus on financial or transactional data.
• Production experience with Snowflake or an equivalent cloud data warehouse and advanced SQL skills.
• Proven track record of independent delivery and ability to work against externally fixed deadlines.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with finance and accounting teams.
