Data Center Infrastructure & Migration Architect

Winged IT is seeking an experienced Senior Data Center Infrastructure & Migration Architect to lead the design and potential implementation of a complex server infrastructure project. This role involves creating a coherent end-to-end solution for a client, covering virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and disaster recovery, while acting as the primary technical partner throughout the engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery workshops and identify project risks, dependencies, and requirements.
• Design the target data center infrastructure architecture and define infrastructure sizing.
• Develop comprehensive migration strategies for existing Windows and Linux environments.
• Coordinate technical designs and implementation plans across multiple infrastructure domains.
• Present and discuss proposed architectural solutions directly with the client.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing data center, on-premise, or private cloud infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter enterprise virtualization.
• Proven track record in planning and delivering migrations for production Windows and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of backup, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and manage technical documentation.
