Data Analyst (SQL & dbt)

saas.group is a global powerhouse dedicated to acquiring and scaling B2B SaaS ventures. We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our Central Data & BI Team, where you will play a key role in managing our data warehouse, dbt models, and providing critical insights for our portfolio companies and leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage data requests end-to-end, from clarifying business questions to building models and validating results.
• Develop and maintain production dbt models for core SaaS metrics, including billing, subscriptions, and retention.
• Monitor data quality, maintain source integrations, and onboard data from newly acquired companies.
• Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions by processing unfamiliar datasets under time pressure.
• Utilize AI tools effectively for development, investigation, and documentation while ensuring data integrity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data roles with a strong focus on SQL and code-based workflows.
• Proven experience building and maintaining data models using dbt with version control.
• Ability to trace data from source systems through ingestion and transformation to business outcomes.
• Strong analytical judgment and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for data work and a high level of fluency in English.
