Cybersecurity Engineer

Business Wire is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and ensure the integrity of our software applications and IT systems. In this role, you will play a critical part in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security best practices, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct application and cloud security assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security testing into the software development lifecycle.
• Support the development of robust cloud security architecture aligned with industry standards.
• Triage vulnerabilities and assist in the prioritization of remediation efforts.
• Conduct educational initiatives to raise awareness regarding phishing, social engineering, and security best practices.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in application security with practical knowledge of AWS environments.
• Proficiency in designing secure infrastructure solutions for both cloud and on-premise systems.
• Experience with security testing tools, including SAST and DAST, to proactively address vulnerabilities.
• Strong background in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
